Every feeling you have is mirrored in your body. Undesirable feelings can be released using the breath and an awareness of whereabouts in the body a feeling is centred. ‘Holding patterns’ which lock feelings into the body are held there through bodily tension. When these are consciously released and exhaled a feeling can be released.
You can centre on feelings you would like to cultivate, imagining them fully until you start to experience them. Inhale feelings into your body, and let them permeate your cells. Notice how this affects your body as you start to absorb and anchor feelings at a cellular level. Your body can absorb feelings as an actual source of energy and nourishment. It will soften and relax as you absorb more balanced and harmonious feelings. Experiment with this as you please. You can use this process to anchor any emotional state into your body that you desire. How would you like to feel?
