Today I’m scratching a spoken word piece which serves as a powerful reminder of the truth of who we really are:

Back story:
In September 2015 I was lucky enough to get to perform a short 3 minute portable scratch DJ set at the Nuyorican Poets Cafe in NYC.
I was totally inspired by the whole experience and the talent of all the performers that night and the open hearts of everyone watching.
La Bruja was the host and made me feel so welcome. I have been following her ever since.
I saw her “A Voice UnBroken” video and it touched me so much that I just had to play with it on the turntables. That’s my way of internalising the message and expressing it outward and sharing it with others.
I use music as a way to express powerful emotions. It is a way for me to tap into the deeper message that is being presented here, that I think we can all take something from.
YOU are an angel. YOU bring the light. Keep shining. How would you BE different and what would you do differently if you really knew that’s who you are?
