When all else fails, try some of these things to help you shift your mind and thought perspective
In no particular order…
- hoover / vacuum every last bit of dust you can find in your house
- clean and dust everything in sight
- rearrange your office / bedroom / lounge / kitchen utensils
- go for a long / short walk / run / bike ride / swim
- dance, even if its behind closed doors
- move about, don’t stay static
- realise that everything is possible, look at pictures of what you are aiming for
- do something you have never done before
- think something that you have never thought before
- write down all your achievements, no matter how small
- know that “this too shall pass”
- help someone else
- take someone out to dinner
- pretend
- feed the birds
- tell someone they look great
- stop, forgive, move on
- cloud watch
- star gaze
- remember the time you felt truly alive and know that its still right there
- write down the description of the person you would like to be in the PRESENT TENSE
- take eveything off your shelves, clean and put everything back on
- clear out everything that no longer serves you or where you are going
- realise that now, this second is all there really is
- do something that scares you
- watch funny movies
- sing a simple song
- turn off the news
- forget!
breathe deeply and realise you feel better already.
